The project concerns the development and implementation of an optimization solution in the area of product printing.
This optimization will involve the development of a computer program that will enable accurate calculations in terms of the size (roll size) of the film used in the packaging manufacturing process.
This will optimize the size of orders, enable a reduction in the number of connections during the production process, which will translate into a reduction in the amount of waste generated during production.
Another component of the project, which is an integral part of the project, is the purchase of machinery and equipment to optimize electricity and heat consumption in the plant.
This will be possible thanks to the launch of a photovoltaic installation, a ventilation system with heat recovery, and the installation of equipment in the production hall to enable heat recovery from machinery.
The above goals will be achieved through the implementation of activities involving the supply and installation of the following solutions:
Photovoltaic panels
Heating and ventilation system with heat recovery
Heat pumps
Screw compressor with PTG plate heat exchanger system
In addition, it will be possible to achieve the stated objectives through the purchase by the Applicant of a consulting service provided by external contractors and consisting in the development of software to optimize the use of film in the production process.
The objectives of the project are in line with the objectives of the “environmentally friendly technologies” scheme.
The project makes it possible to implement innovative activities and increase the competitiveness of the Applicant with the use of environmentally friendly technological solutions.
It also includes the implementation of an innovative solution in the area of production, which leads to the development of the entrepreneur’s business, in particular, an increase in revenue, profit, and at the same time better waste management, energy efficiency, reduced emissions into the atmosphere, more efficient material management.
The Norwegian and EEA funds represent Norway’s contribution to creating a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
Within the framework of the Norwegian and EEA funds, Norway contributes to reducing social and economic inequalities and strengthening bilateral relations with the beneficiary countries of Central and Southern Europe and the Baltic Sea area.
Norway cooperates closely with the EU under the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement.
Together with other donors, Norway has provided €3.3 billion in successive fund programs between 1994 and 2014.
The Norwegian funds are financed exclusively by Norway and are available in countries that joined the EU after 2003.
The Norwegian funds for 2014-2021 amount to €1.25 billion.
In January 2023, the company installed its own 50,000-watt photovoltaic installation. The investment will allow the company to pursue the goals of Sustainable Development.
The company’s goal is to monitor the impact of its activities on the environment,
minimize the negative impact and continuously develop the awareness of management and employees in this regard.
The installation was based on a Huawei inverter and 460-watt panels. The included software allows continuous supervision on the installation.
The company plans to expand the plant in the future. The investment was co-financed by the Norwegian Fund.
We entrusted the realization of the investment to the company Vosti : https://vosti.pl/fotowoltaika/
In February 2023, a HERTZ compressor with a plate heat exchanger system was put into operation.
Heat recovery can be defined as the collection and use of heat energy that would normally be dissipated from the system into the environment.
The recovery technology used makes it possible to recover heat from the production process and reuse it to heat the production halls and laminate dryers.
Thus, recovering the waste energy generated by the compressor now saves energy consumption and protects the environment. The investment was co-financed by the Norwegian Fund.
In November 2023, the installation of the heat pump was completed .
A state-of-the-art unit from Panasonic was chosen, using T-CAP technology.
This investment will significantly reduce the company’s consumption of natural gas, which was used as the main source of heating.
The investment was co-financed by the Norwegian Fund.
A heating and ventilation system for production halls was put into operation in December 2023.
The unit uses EC fans that adjust the speed to the current demand, thus saving electricity.
The recuperator has a cross heat exchanger with an efficiency of min.
80%, which allows heat recovery from production processes.
An advanced automation system will allow the entire system to be controlled both on-site and remotely.
The investment was co-financed by the Norwegian Fund.
At the end of 2023, work was completed on software for film winding optimization.
The investment was co-financed by the Norwegian Fund.
An information meeting to open the project was held at the Beneficiary’s headquarters in Kolbuszowa on 04/05/2022.
The meeting was addressed to film suppliers as key stakeholders in the project.
These entities were invited to the Company in order to present them with the assumptions of the software and the project, as well as to gather feedback and comments from them.
The meeting also served to obtain information from these companies on the
capabilities and configuration of their products.
This data was used in the development of the film optimization software.
During the meeting, in addition to discussing this component, the rest of the project was also presented.
In addition to the company’s management, the meeting was attended by representatives of suppliers to the company of major production components.
The meeting was held on 29.12.2023 at the end of the project.
Its participants were representatives of the company’s clients.
During the meeting the effects of the project were presented.
The event and its accompanying materials made explicit reference to the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Program and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
Information was also provided on.
good practices related to the implementation of the project.
Due to the end of the year, the meeting was conducted in an online format.
